We are honored to invite you to join our sixteen-week full-spectrum Doula certification course. Here, you will be trained and mentored as a full-spectrum holistic birth worker. This 8-program course curriculum was created with melanated birth workers in mind. Why melanated, you may ask? Statistically, African American mothers die 3 to 4 times more than their counterparts while giving birth. These high statistical numbers are most commonly a result of racism and implicit bias, as well as blatant neglect. Their words and presence are not being respected. To add to those alarming numbers, African American infants are dying 2 to 3 times more than their counterparts for the same reasons. Studies show that Doulas are changing these outcomes.
Many passionate melanated birth workers have cried out for more access to melanin-focused education and training to support our mothers more effectively, and we have provided you with the full blueprint! But we are not stopping there; you will also be mentored during your training with us to create and launch or enhance your birth worker business. The goal is to prepare you to be confident in your calling as a holistic birth worker led by education, intuition, and your forever-evolving spirit.

Meet Your Trainer & Mentor
Khadija Divine
In 2018, Khadija set forth on the mission of becoming a full-spectrum Doula. She knew then that while her goal was to support mothers in birth as a Doula and one-day Midwife, her passion was also to train and certify a supportive and passionate community of birth workers to support even more of our mothers on a grander scale. She also desired to support her fellow birth workers in creating and thriving in their birth worker businesses.
Since her doula certification and her role as a Traditional Home Birth Support Person, She is now the Executive Director and Lead Doula Trainer of The Divine Birth Academy, and its graduates, San Joaquin County’s Divine Heart Doula Collective. Many have requested her rich training knowledge and empowering mentoring skills. This course is her response.

The most valuable part of this training was the mentorship I gained. This was a personal journey, and I was able to learn better because I felt the genuine connection that was created.
